It is installed, anchored or not, on impermeable ground such as asphalt, paved surfaces or concrete. It allows emergency action during rapid or slow flooding in impermeable areas, without requiring heavy human and mechanical resources. These modules have been tested during two days on 3rd and 4th of February 2022 in Hedwidge Prosperpolder in coordination with the Dutch Ministry of Defence.";False;False;False;True;False;False;2022-02-03 09:00:00;2022-02-04 17:00:00;2;14.0;;VIII;;;;The site in Hedwidge Prosperpolder was prepared in coordination with the Dutch Ministry of Defence. A large pool was surrounded by dikes. The water level in the pool was controlled on one hand by several pumps (a main pump and three secondary pumps) and on the other hand by an emergency valve. The pumps enabled the rise of the water level with a speed around one meter per hour.;;Test installation time, stability and leakage of mobile barriers Cuirassier on natural ground.;Better assess installation time, stability and leakage of mobile barriers Cuirassier on natural ground.;Test on natural ground without anchorage.;"This LpS8 Cuirassier module is a temporary flood protection barrier in urban and industrial environments. It is installed, anchored or not, on impermeable ground such as asphalt, paved surfaces or concrete. It allows emergency action during rapid or slow flooding in impermeable areas, without requiring heavy human and mechanical resources. These modules have been tested during two days on 3rd and 4th of February 2022 in Hedwidge Prosperpolder in coordination with the Dutch Ministry of Defence. Several tests were organised in order to limit water leakage.";Use of pumps to assess water leakage.;;;2 days;;Good installation time but the leakage was too large.;The barriers were tested previously in Wallingford in a laboratory on a concrete ground. The leakage was assessed around 17l/h/ml. In Hedwidge Prosperpolder, the ground conditions were extremely difficult with the presence of five centimetres high bumps. The connexions between modules could not absorb alone these irregularities. The presence of a liner under the barriers was missing. This liner could assure the seal between the ground and the barrier system. Most of the leakage was observed under the connexions but leakage was also possible under the barriers themselves. The first day the water level became quickly the same in the two sides of the barriers. The second day, after the installation of a small geotextile and sandbags, the leakage was firstly reduced but appeared again after the rise of the water level. A pump was used to remove water behind the barriers. Its discharge was assessed around 50l/h/ml. The observed leakage was much larger than the pump discharge since the water level behind barriers rose very fast.;Good installation time but the leakage was too large.;https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZHwrJOTiyKODH7iXQGiKwcyTbnOLb4u0/view?usp=share_link;False;True;False; All DATA concerning Test of mobile barriers Cuirassier in Hedwidge Prosperpolder – February 2022 data_type;data_descripion;date_date;data_find;data_media;data_media_find Picture;Installation of mobile barriers;2022-02-03;https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c8Tw0xryh677hOQccllBXiFfhcmjk8GU/view?usp=share_link;; Picture;Installation of mobile barriers;2022-02-03;https://drive.google.com/file/d/114k0s4HijKFXKGtNggCCSCbfcKEjxgF-/view?usp=share_link;; Picture;Installation of mobile barriers;2022-02-03;https://drive.google.com/file/d/13WejUFLOaJ1R9pbqA0XGG96or8f_OwNb/view?usp=share_link;; Picture;"Test of Cuirassier in La Boucau (South of France) InterREG Sudoe Inundatio";2022-04-18;https://drive.google.com/file/d/1j0v887beAML9vD8yJUvv92H23AMkq21l/view?usp=share_link;; Video;LPS8 Cuirassier mobile barrier;2023-01-19;https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c14IQu5QjZ6JxCKV7VRAzzdNxZ9m_oeA/view?usp=share_link;; All EQUIPMENTS concerning Test of mobile barriers Cuirassier in Hedwidge Prosperpolder – February 2022 equip_type;equip_usage "LpS8 Cuirassier module https://drive.google.com/file/d/1c14IQu5QjZ6JxCKV7VRAzzdNxZ9m_oeA/view?usp=share_link";Easy and fast to install All SENSORS concerning Test of mobile barriers Cuirassier in Hedwidge Prosperpolder – February 2022 No sensors added
